Vivek is a great artist. He's responsive when it comes to communication. He took my idea, gave it a twist and made it magnificently.

The Tattoo Lab is clean and welcoming. Bright, and modern with his artwork displayed.

Vivek himself is a good guy. He made sure we were both happy with this design, he worked quietly but I like that. He was thorough before the work, and talked about the aftercare even though I'm a tattoo veteran. Loved that.

I have a big cover piece planned for next year and I'm going back to him.

Vivek is an absolute master of his art.
I came in with a vision & picture as to what I wanted. After chatting with Vivek and him sharing some photos & knowledge we stayed along the same lines but with Viveks help we found exactly what I wanted.

Prerna is one of the best piercers in Halifax. I had my tongue pierced at a different shop and came to her when they botched the piercing! She not only fixed it for me, but educated me about what type of jewelry would fit my tongue best. She is down to earth, kind, and a great person to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Absolutely thrilled with Vivek’s work! Tattoo Lab Halifax will be my new go to shop. I’ve been tattooed from LA to Denver to Philly, and this was the cleanest, least painful work I’ve seen. Also in the US it’s common practice to cover a finished new tattoo with plastic and medical tape for a day; Vivek uses second skin which is so far and above better I’ll be sending word back across the border to up their game. Very impressed, I’ll be back for more

Got my conch pierced by Prerna and she was honestly so nice! She explained everything clearly, especially the aftercare, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She even offered snacks and checked in on me after. Also said she’d help change the jewelry later if needed. Super thoughtful and professional, definitely recommend her!

The Story Behind Tattoo Lab

Tattoo Lab was founded on a simple belief: every tattoo should hold meaning, for both the artist and the person wearing it.

Vivek began his journey as a tattoo artist at a very young age of just 17, fascinated by how art can capture emotion, memory, and identity on skin. What started as sketches in a notebook evolved into a lifelong passion for creating realistic, meaningful, and technically perfect tattoos.

In November 2024, he opened Tattoo Lab Studios Limited in Halifax. What began as a one-artist setup quickly gained attention for its clean, professional environment, friendly approach, and masterful execution across all tattoo styles—from fine line tattoos and floral designs to black and grey realism, portraits, and custom color tattoos.

The Meaning Behind the Name

The name Tattoo Lab was chosen for a reason. The word Lab represents precision, discipline, and a commitment to perfection—just like in a scientific laboratory, where every detail matters.
